West Ham’s Premier League fixtures: Full 2023-24 schedule and dates
By Kate Burlaga and Luke Bosher
West Ham will start their 2023-24 Premier League campaign against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
The London Stadium side host Chelsea in their first home fixture, which comes on the weekend of August 19.
Though West Ham struggled in parts during their domestic campaign, their memorable Europa Conference League run and title means they will play Europa League football next season despite finishing 14th in the Premier League.
That means many of their fixtures in the first half of the season will be rescheduled for Sundays, due to Europa League group-stage games happening on Thursdays.
West Ham end the season against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

When will the TV fixtures be confirmed?
Last summer, Sky Sports and BT Sport revealed their televised picks for the opening weekend when the fixtures were released.
They then confirmed in mid-July their TV picks up until the middle of September.
As a minimum, the Premier League aims to alert supporters of changes based on TV scheduling at least six weeks before the match is due to take place.
This year, there will be one significant change with BT Sport being rebranded as TNT Sports from July. As The Athletic reported in detail here, it has been stressed that the transition will be seamless and the only noticeable change will be in name.
US fans were able to watch or stream all 380 Premier League games in 2022-23 and will be able to do so again, with NBC’s current deal — including streaming service Peacock — running until 2028. Key dates — 2023-24 Premier League season
The new Premier League season starts on the weekend of August 11-14, 2023.
The traditional Community Shield curtain-raiser will be between Manchester City and Arsenal, with confirmation of the fixture details still to be confirmed by the Football Association. The game is usually between the Premier League and FA Cup winners, but with City claiming both, the second final spot goes to the Premier League runners-up.
The season will conclude on Sunday, May 19, 2024, with all 10 final-day games kicking off at the same time.
A mid-season break will take place between January 13-20 and the Premier League has promised that no two rounds across Christmas and New Year will take place within 48 hours of each other.
The summer transfer window opened on June 14 and runs until 11pm on September 1. What about the Europa League?
Following their Europa Conference League triumph, West Ham will play in the Europa League this season and will enter at the group stage, which runs from September 21 to December 14. The final set for Dublin’s Aviva Stadium on a date still to be confirmed by UEFA.
The group-stage draw will take place on September 1, 2023.

Am sure there is a certain amount of 'fixing' that goes on to space the big games for tv but understand most of it is via some algorithm that feeds in all the rules ... an attempt to alternate home and away games Man City & Man U, Liverpool & Everton, Spurs & Arsenal etc not at home of the same day
But they definitely fill in the gaps by putting Kompany v Pep on the opening day etc Luton having a first home game v Burnley is a bit of a fizzer though

Luckily not! Bizarrely, they have...Burnley.
Agree though it's not great to be the visitors at a first home game for a promoted side. You're playing the occasion as much as anything else. Definitely had an impact when we got Forest last season.

yeah sorry, missed the point.
Although just a thought, do we play against Luton for their first home game? Fix!

I mean the Kompany connection.
What ARE the chances of the former Man City legend randomly playing them on the first day of the season after he's got promoted and they've won a treble?
Talk about conveniently making sure there are headlines and media noise in the build up.

Hahahahahaha
Don't we complain when we get a newly promoted side on first game? It's basically a cup game

Absolutely! Half a billion and you won fuck all.
I'd actually find it really amusing if we keep up a tongue in cheek 'champions of Europe' chant all season. Especially playing against Man City.

Yup that's true. It'll still be good to parade it in front of them. Especially if it's off a win against Bournemouth. I think they'll throw a bit of 'small time' banter our way though!

Yes- and that game was one of the most frustrating to watch in the whole season and for me probably the most damning condemnation of how Moyes sets out to approach a game.
An opponent in absolute disarray who can't buy a win, at home, and what do we do? Proceed to just give them the ball and 80 yards of the pitch to do what they want with it. Gifted them all the confidence in the world and but for VAR they'd have thrashed us. Could have been 3-0 after 15 mins. We made a very poorly functioning team look like Man City with our shitty negative passive tactics.
When we scored very much against the run of play, we pressed high for five minutes and they completely crumbled. Couldn't keep the ball and looked total dogshit. Then we just stopped and let them back into the game. It's absolutely baffling. A draw at home to them was actually a poor result at that time, but we could have been tonked but for a few marginal offside decisions.

Scorcio. Would have been nice to parade on day one. Sweeter though to parade it in front of the wankers from west London the following game though.

And yes it's a bit shit that we don't have a home opener to parade the trophy around. Guess it'll be second game.

Last game of the season is probably best time to play City... they will have already won the title and be resting players for the CL Final (as this year).

Miike - we played a Chelsea side with several new players fresh of the plane last season, Moyes still retreated and let them play us off the park. Will be a good match to evaluate how our season will go, hopefully our attitude will be different.
